"Dear Diary,
Ma, Dad, & boys went to Joe Hochstettler's for dinner. Devona and I sat home alone. She slept all day. Was looking for Marv but he never showed up 'til 3:30. The boys were with him. Went & got Est, ate supper, then sat upstairs 'til 10:00 or so. Est & Alma went to singin' with Vern & Jr. Wickey."
