Got up & sat around till 9:00 then Dad decided to go to Sam's so I quick got ready & went along."

"Dear Diary,
Walked to church this morn with Marv, Harvey & Ernest Schrock. Marv, Alma, & I went to Mary's funeral then to Pete's. Stopped in Nottawa. Come home about 5:30. Decided not to go to singin'. So "Grandpa & Grandma" stayed home. "Gramps" went home about 10."

Done Saturday work. Marv come down tonite & ask me to go home with him. I was sooooo happy. Had a real good evening."

Cleaned & mopped kitchen today. Ma went to dentist. Est come home from school this noon. Cleaned upstairs."

Sewed blouses today. Roman Miller's Mary died today. Age 12. Mom and Mandy went to Barb Chapman's baby shower. Kids stayed here."

Ma & Baby got ready to go to Nappanee today but no driver. Felt lousy today. Had gut ache. I get headaches from just dreaming all the time."

Done nothing again today, 'cept bake pies. Babysat for Donna again this aft. Today is my sweet heart's 20th birthday. I do nothing but dream about him."
